The proceedings of an International Workshop held at
the National Institute of Standards and Technology on March 20, 21, and 22, 1991, are
presented. The purpose of the Workshop was to examine new developments in the application
of risk analysis in offshore oil and gas operations. The proceedings include: an executive
summary, invited papers on current practice in the United States, Canada, the United
Kingdom, and Norway, and summary reports and recommendations of six Working Groups:
