Description Workshop will be conducted to address the need for an industry-wide dialogue on riser VIV, with the following major objectives;
 
bullet Current state-of-the-art in riser VIV modeling;
bullet Existing experimental data;
bullet Existing field experience with deepwater risers, and Recently completed and ongoing studies related to riser VIV;
bullet To provide a forum for identifying and discussing uncertainties and technical needs in riser VIV;
bullet Identify studies that can provide a path forward to fill the identified gaps, and Identify new ways to collaborate in sharing knowledge and data.
