  Human Factors

Projects emphasize human factors that affect responses during normal and emergency operations on offshore platforms. Offshore facilities provide a minimum of space for placement and operation of complex and densely configured drilling, production and processing equipment. Facility systems must be designed, arranged, operated, and inspected to minimize potential failure of any element. The failure of a single element in these tight quarters can cause a cascade of sequential failures, resulting in a catastrophic failure of the system.
