Circumstances seem to conspire against us leaving here.... Sierra was able to get a seat on an earlier flight to New Orleans, where she has met up with Thom and Sam. Unfortunately, her luggage didn't arrive, so they will wait for the next flight to arrive later this evening. They will use the time to purchase some items we need for the boat. In the meantime, the rest of us experienced what it means to be in an industrial town with a 'pleasure craft': all but one fuel dealership are set up with only large nozzles and high-pressure diesel lines, which we cannot use. The only one that has car-sized fuel nozzles is on the other side of the old bridge. Problem here is that this bridge is too low for our mast. We will have to shuttle jerry cans back and forth tomorrow morning before we will be able to head back out towards open water.
