First MMS Marine Minerals Program Information Transfer Meeting
MMS seal June 20 – 22, 2006 Crowne Plaza Melbourne Oceanfront Melbourne, Florida

The meeting will highlight the work of the Agency’s Marine Minerals Program and is intended to foster coordination and communication among interested parties relative to offshore sand borrow investigations in Federal waters and the conduct of environmental studies to evaluate the effects of dredging for beach nourishment. These studies are used in the development of leases which allow for the use of Federal sand for coastal restoration and wetlands protection projects.
