 MMS Makes Technical Correction to Alternative Energy Federal Register Notice

Revises Table and Extends Comment Period

WASHINGTON The Department of the Interior’s Minerals Management Service today issued a technical correction to the Federal Register Notice Link to a site outside of MMS.GOV.concerning Proposed Limited Alternative Energy Leases on the Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) and Initiation of Coordination and Consultation.

The correction revises the table identifying proposed lease areas for alternative energy resource data collection and technology testing activities on the Outer Continental Shelf (OCS).  A link to the notice can be found online Link to a site outside of MMS.GOV..  The official protraction diagrams that show where the blocks in the below table are located are also available online.  

The agency issued a Federal Register Notice Link to a site outside of MMS.GOV. Friday, April 18 that provided details about the designation of five areas on the Outer Continental Shelf as priority areas for alternative energy limited leasing in federal waters. Individuals or organizations with competitive interest will have 30 days from today to provide comments, and the agency will accept public comments on the proposed lease areas for 60 days.
