MMS EXTENDS DEADLINE AND AMENDS INVITATION FOR BID
FOR WYOMING CRUDE OIL RIK PILOT

The U.S. Department of the Interior's Minerals Management Service (MMS) will amend its Invitation For Bid (IFB) document calling for bids on royalty-in-kind crude oil in Wyoming. The agency will also be extending the deadline for bids to COB, August 7, 1998, allowing bidders an additional week.

Because the existing text was misinterpreted by several potential bidders, editorial changes were made to the document to clarify content. The amended IFB document will be posted to the MMS Internet home page on July 23, under "What's New" at: http://www.mrm.mms.gov. The same information will also be published in the Federal Register and oil and gas trade journals.
