PUBLIC MEETINGS SET FOR PROPOSED RULE ON
FEDERAL OIL VALUATION

The Department of the Interior's Minerals Management Service (MMS) will hold five public meetings to discuss the most recent supplemental proposed Federal oil valuation rule. The MMS is interested in gathering comments from the public on the February 6, 1998, proposal which amends the royalty valuation regulations for crude oil produced from Federal leases.

The meetings will be held in: Houston, TX, February 18; Washington, DC, February 25; Lakewood, CO, March 2; Bakersfield, CA, March 11; and Casper, WY, March 12.

There is no need to pre-register, but anyone wanting to make a formal presentation should sign up upon arrival. A picture ID may be required for building access.
