CORRECTION - SALE 161 RESULTS

The sum of high bids published as $352.5 million in the Sept.25 news release for Sale 161 was incorrect due to a computer error in one of our programs which generated the Sale Day Statistics. The correct figure is: $356,121,922.

Of the 73 companies participating, 57 submitted bids.

Many were unable to access the Gulf of Mexico Region Homepage on the Internet. Not only was the link address provided in the news release wrong, as luck would have it, our server in Herndon,VA went down yesterday afternoon at a most inopportune time and didn't come back online until this morning. Technology is wonderful except when it doesn't work.
