Offshore Resource Reports

Current Resource Assessment

In 2006, MMS released a national assessment of the undiscovered technically recoverable resources (UTRR) underlying offshore waters on the Outer Continental Shelf (OCS). The assessment is a comprehensive appraisal of relevant data and information available as of January 1, 2003, including advances in petroleum exploration and development technologies.  The results of this assessment are provided below.
