USCG RADAR Study Findings & Mitigation

Photo of birds flying during mitigationOn December 16, 2008 the U.S. Coast Guard provided to the MMS its final report regarding potential impacts to marine radar from the placement of wind turbine generators in Nantucket Sound, Massachusetts. To view the Coast Guard’s final report and the advanced copy of the Coast Guard’s findings and mitigation, access Appendix M (5,211 KB PDF) in the Cape Wind final environmental impact statement (FEIS).

On January 13, 2009 the USCG submitted to the MMS its final findings and mitigation. No substantive changes have been made from the advance copy, found in the FEIS, to the final version. Click on the link below to view.

On December 16, 2008 the U.S. Coast Guard provided to the MMS its final report regarding potential impacts to marine radar from the placement of wind turbine generators in Nantucket Sound, Massachusetts.
