2008 Industry Awards Program and Luncheon
The 2008 Minerals
Management Service (MMS) Industry Awards Program and Luncheon are scheduled
for Thursday, April 10, 2008, at the Hilton Americas Houston Hotel, Houston,
Texas. This is the 25th year that MMS has honored outstanding companies for
their exemplary safety and pollution prevention records, and the 10th year
for our industry awards program. The following awards will be presented:
Recognizes corporation employees who have performed an exemplary act or
service that helps MMS meet its mission objectives.
Recognizes the company with the best combined performance in both offshore
safety and mineral revenue reporting.
- Mineral Revenues Stewardship Award
Recognizes companies committed to timely
and accurately filing of mineral lease revenue and production reports
with MMS’s Minerals Revenue Management Program.
The SAFE Program recognizes OCS oil and gas facility operators and
contractors for outstanding safety and pollution prevention performance. The
SAFE Award categories are as follows:

Guidance Document Statement
The MMS issues NTLs as
guidance documents in accordance with 30 CFR 250.103. This NTL is
informational and provides details about the 2008 Industry Awards Program
and Luncheon. This program promotes safe and environmentally sound
operations by publicly honoring outstanding companies for their exemplary
performance in the arenas of safety and pollution prevention.
