OMM eGov Transformation Presentations

NOTE: 2002-N12 Adobe PDF is available for download in Adobe's Portable Document Format (PDF).

The Minerals Management Service (MMS), Offshore Minerals Management (OMM), Program Management Office (PMO), announces three presentation sessions on the OMM eGov Transformation Project. The first on December 3, 2002, in New Orleans, Louisiana, and two subsequent sessions on December 5, 2002, and December 6, 2002, in Houston, Texas.  The presentations will be given by Mr. Gary Lore, Project Manager of OMM eGov Transformation Project.

The OCS Connect program is a phased, multi-year e-Government transformation of OMM that will dramatically reform and streamline business operations by Fiscal Year 2007. By moving to on-line services, the organization will be more “connected” to customers: industry, citizens, and other Government agencies. The OCS Connect transformation will maximize citizen involvement by delivering essential information and allowing input via the Internet. It will streamline mission delivery by automating major business transactions, such as plan review, resulting in more timely decisions. OCS Connect will simplify and unify Government by minimizing redundant reporting and streamlining Government interactions with industry and the public. It will also leverage market-based practices by using common oil and gas standards and solutions. We welcome and encourage your attendance at this presentation.
