and Sulphur Leases in the Outer Continental Shelf

4th Annual MMS Industry Awards Program and Luncheon

The 2002 Minerals Management Service (MMS) Industry Awards Program and Luncheon are scheduled for Thursday, April 11, 2002, at the Hotel Inter-Continental Houston. This is the 19th year that MMS has honored outstanding companies for their exemplary safety and pollution prevention records, and the fourth year for our industry awards program. The following awards will be presented:
 
bullet Corporate Leadership Award (CORLA)
Recognize Corporation employees for performing an act or service that enhances MMS’s ability to meet Offshore or Minerals Revenue Management mission objectives. An MMS CORLA recipient has performed an exemplary act or service that helps MMS meet its mission objectives.
 
bullet Corporate Citizen Award (CORCIT)
Recognize OCS lessees that are outstanding in the areas of offshore operating performance and fiscal responsibility. An MMS CORCIT recipient is among the safest and most committed to timely and accurate financial reporting. Contributions to overall industry performance are considered.
 
bullet Secretary of the Interior’s Mineral Revenues Stewardship Award
Recognize companies committed to timely and accurately filing mineral lease revenue and production reports with MMS’s Minerals Revenue Management Program.
 
bullet Safety Award for Excellence (SAFE)
The SAFE Program recognizes OCS oil and gas facility operators and contractors for outstanding safety and pollution prevention performance. It also highlights companies that conduct offshore oil and gas activities safely and in a pollution-free manner, although such activities are complex and carry a significant element of risk. The SAFE Award Categories are as follows:
