The Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) Policy Committee, first chartered in 1975, provides advice to the Secretary of the Interior on implementing the OCS Lands Act.  Members are appointed by the Secretary of the Interior.

The last meeting was held May 13-14, 2003 in Alexandria, VA.  The meeting agenda, presentations, and speaker biographies are available.  Information on previous meetings is also available.

The Committee appoints subcommittees to look at issues in-depth.  The subcommittees report back to the full committee.  If their report is acceptable to the full committee, the report is sent to the Secretary.

The Committee frequently provides advice to the Secretary through resolutions.
