Remarks: A leak was found in the 1-inch methanol supply tube which goes to the Na Kika Kepler Well K-1 in Mississippi Canyon Area Block 429. The location of the leak was at the weld in the Na Kika Ariel hydraulic and chemical tubes for both Mississippi Canyon Area Block 429, Well A-4 and Kepler wells (K1 and K2 in MC 383). The Well K-1 was brought on line using a spare umbilical tube that will be used to deliver methanol to MC 383, Well K-1 in the future. April 19, 2005 – Stone Energy Corporation
Remarks: Stone abandoned a pipeline without approval, and a seal broke on a valve causing gas to vent and condensate to spill. May 2, 2005 – W&T Offshore, Inc.
Remarks: A lift boat jacked down at W & T Offshore's Platform. The exact location of the Transco 24-inch gas pipeline was not known and although sonar was utilized, it could not pick up the 24-inch pipeline and stern legs of the jack-up boat were set down on Transco's 24-inch gas pipeline. The pipeline was not buoyed, reflectors were not installed. Divers were deployed by Transco to evaluate the damage. There was damage to the concrete coating at the site of the port leg's impact, not to the pipeline itself. At the site of the stern leg's impact, damaged concrete coating and a dent in the pipe itself were found, SN 12579 ROW G-21880. October 17, 2005 – Hunt Petroleum (AEC), Inc.
Remarks: Hunt Petroleum AEC reported that a pipeline leak was observed when testing the JA platform pipelines before bringing the platform back on production. An over flight by Hunt Petroleum verified the majority of the sheen was dissipating rapidly and posing no threat to the shore line. November 19, 2005 – Apache Corporation
Remarks: The Rowen Paris damaged two pipelines when the starboard stern spud can was jacked down over one of the pipelines. There was no pollution. Privacy | Disclaimers | Accessibility | Topic Index | FOIA Last Updated: 06/24/08, 03:07 PM |
