Remarks: Anchor dragged by lay barge engaged in third-party pipeline operations broke submerged 14" oil pipeline and two submerged 8-5/8" pipelines. Line kinked 280' from EI 338. Response: the 14" pipeline was repaired the riser at the "S" platform was also completed; and the two 8 5/8" pipelines were also repaired and put back in service.

Remarks: The submerged oil pipeline from MP-144 to MP-69 developed a large leak caused by an anchor drag pulling the line apart 6,500' northwest of MP. Response: pipeline was shut in; pipe and flanges on both ends were replaced.

Remarks: EXPLORATION SPILL. While offloading Black Magic from workboat "Gulf Fleet 21" to drilling rig, a hose on the vessel parted underwater at the connection with the rig hose. About 10 minutes elapsed before it was noticed and the pumps on the vessel were shut down. An estimated 100 bbl of Black Magic (either 70 or 77 percent oil) were pumped overboard, so 70-77 bbl of oil were lost.
