Remarks: A 36" structural I-beam supporting an oil storage tank bent, causing a rupture in the tank.

Remarks: A storage barge was tied to the platform and became entangled with an anchor buoy during rough seas. The barge developed a leak, and its stern sank. Response: salvage operations removed small amounts of oil; repaired barge.

Remarks: Several small leaks occurred in submerged gas & oil pipeline as a result of internal corrosion. Response: repairs were made by installing clamps over the leaks. Pipeline was scheduled to be replaced with a new one in 1974. Possibly over 5,000 bbl spilled.

Remarks: EXPLORATION SPILL. Hose connection parted while unloading diesel fuel from a boat to the rig in rough tide. Inadequate communications delayed discovery and response. Response: Shut off pump; personnel were instructed to ensure that closer communications exist between the rig and the boat during operations.
