Required Training

Tracking and verification of training requirements for personnel who operate spill response equipment, have IMT duties or act as the Qualified Individual for an operator ensures all responders have the required knowledge to carry out their assigned tasks. Operators are required to train all response team members in spill response methods. Spill responders must receive annual training on deployment and operation of equipment they will use. ITM members and Qualified Individuals likewise must receive annual training for their specific duties.
