2001 Stewardship Award Winners

Chevron U.S.A. Production Company

During Fiscal Year (FY) 2000, Chevron U.S.A. Production Company (Chevron) submitted 248,675 lines of royalty and production data to the Minerals Revenue Management (MRM), formerly Royalty Management Program (RMP). Chevron provided outstanding performance in the following areas:
 
bullet Accurate royalty reporting rate of 98.4 percent.
 
bullet Accurate production reporting rate of 98.65 percent.

Chevron is also a partner in our onshore and offshore compliance and asset management reengineering efforts, providing insight and input as we refine our future business processes and systems.

Chevron is located in Houston, Texas.

Devon Energy Corporation

Oil and Gas Reporter
Larry Nichols, President and CEO, Devon Energy Corporation, accepted the award, along with his accounting staff who made it happen.

During FY 2000, Devon Energy Corporation (Devon) submitted 87,986 lines of royalty and production data to MRM, formerly RMP. Devon provided outstanding performance in the following areas:
 
bullet Accurate royalty reporting rate of 99.49 percent.
 
bullet Accurate production reporting rate of 99.05 percent.

Devon is also a partner in our financial reengineering efforts, providing insight and input into reporting and financial system changes.

Devon is located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and was also the FY 1998 and FY 1999 winner of the Stewardship Award.

San Juan Coal Company

Solid Minerals Reporter
Interior Secretary Gale A. Norton, Evan Jones of San Juan Coal, and Acting MMS Director Thomas R. Kitsos

During FY 2000, San Juan Coal Company sold 4.4 million tons of coal that accounted for approximately thirteen million dollars in royalties paid and reported to MRM, formerly RMP. San Juan provided outstanding performance in the following areas:
 
bullet Accurate royalty reporting rate of 96 percent.
 
bullet Accurate production reporting rate of 100 percent.

San Juan Coal Company is also a partner in our solid minerals compliance and asset management reengineering initiative, providing insight and input as we refine our future business processes and determine future reporting requirements.

San Juan Coal Company is located in Farmington, New Mexico.
