Rob Lease, Dale McCallum, Bruce Smith, and Ben Waring are all stakeholders in GOM well data because their businesses are active data vendors with the GOM industry. They provided strategic well data information from their licensed databases to the MMS, GOM’s Technical Data Management Section (TDMS). This resulted in significant cost savings to the MMS as well as a time savings of some 6 months. These time and cost savings will expedite the facilitation of MMS's Historical Well Data Clean-Up Contract.

The participation and dedication of these four individuals to quality assurance of well data is evident by virtue of their contributions resulting in cost and time savings to the MMS's effort to clean historical well data. Their interest in improving data quality and management in the GOM resulted in innovative solutions in information processing, exchange, standardization, and quality assurance.
