Sale
Beaufort Sea Oil and Gas Lease Sale 186

The locations of blocks included in the Proposed Notice of Sale for Sale 186 are shown on a Locator Map and on Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) Official Protraction Diagrams. Some of the blocks may be partially leased or transected by administrative lines such as the Federal/State jurisdictional boundary line. All unleased federal blocks and federal portions of blocks included in the Proposed Notice of Sale are being considered for leasing. A final decision on the area to be offered for leasing will be made at a later date and published in the Final Notice of Sale.
The following OCS Official Protraction Diagrams (OPD’s) pertain to the area included in the Proposed Notice of Sale. Official block descriptions are derived from these diagrams; however, not all blocks included on a diagram are included in the proposed sale area. To ascertain which blocks are included and the Zone A or Zone B location of blocks you must refer to the block list and the Locator Map. These are available on the MMS Alaska OCS Region web page at www.mms.gov/alaska or from the Minerals Management Service, Alaska OCS Region, 949 East 36th Ave., Rm. 300, Anchorage, Alaska 99508-4363. Requests may be made in person, in writing, by telephone at (800) 764-2627, or via email to akwebmaster@mms.gov.

This listing of unleased blocks and portions of blocks includes bidding units (combinations of blocks/portions of blocks) and the hectare figures for each partial block. Partial block descriptions are derived from Supplemental Official OCS Block Diagrams and OCS Composite Block Diagrams which are available upon request at the address or phone number given above. The Locator Map is for use in identifying locations of blocks but is not the official description of the blocks available for lease. The OCS Official Protraction Diagrams, the Supplemental Official OCS Block Diagrams, and the OCS Composite Block Diagrams constitute the official descriptions of the areas offered.
