 Leasing Activities Information

  Blocks Available for Leasing Oil and Gas Lease Sale 186
  Beaufort Sea – September 24, 2003

The locations for blocks included in the Notice of Sale for Sale 186 are shown on a Locator Map and on Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) Official Protraction Diagrams.  Some of the blocks may be partially leased or transected by administrative lines such as the Federal/State jurisdictional boundary line.  All unleased federal blocks and federal portions of blocks included in the Notice of Sale are being offered for leasing. 

The following OCS Official Protraction Diagrams (OPD’s) pertain to the area included in the Notice of Sale.  Official block descriptions are derived from these diagrams; however, not all blocks included on a diagram are included in the proposed sale area.  To ascertain which blocks are included and the Zone A or Zone B location of blocks you must refer to the block list and the Locator Map.  These are available on the MMS Alaska OCS Region web page at www.mms.gov/alaska or from the Minerals Management Service, Alaska OCS Region, 949 East 36th Avenue, Anchorage, Alaska 99508.  Requests may be made in person, in writing, or by telephone at (907) 271-6070 or (800) 764-2627.
